PASTOR JIM KILGORE

Pastor Jim was elected senior pastor of Life Church in the summer of 2000 after returning home to co-pastor with his father in 1996. Prior to this, he served as pastor of Life Southwest in Houston for six years. Before settling into full-time ministry he attended college in Houston and Mississippi. He has been married to Nancy for over 30 years and their family includes Bo & Lauren, granddaughters, Scarlett & Imogene and grandson, Ira; Benjamen & Megan, and grandson, Thomas; and Lace.

Pastor Jim is a powerful communicator/leader who shares his love for Jesus Christ in a personal, loving manner. His passion to reach the lost is seen and felt in his vision for Life Church, which includes our local Southbelt community and reaches as far as the Philippines.  Pastor Jim’s burden for the lost society of orphans and street children came about after noticing these children on the streets of Manila. His passion became building an orphanage for these children and providing shelter, care, education and daily provisions. Construction began in 2012 and in August of 2013 Ima’s Home for Children was opened.
